‘So what is MO-HOme® all about?’  We get asked that very often. Sometimes the simplest of questions is the most difficult to answer. Knowing who we are and what we stand for underpins the reason for our existence.

MO-HOme® was launched in 1999. Our core vision was and remains one of ‘Oriental Chic’ that can withstand the vagaries of fashion.

 Since 1999 the High Street has gone through unprecedented changes. Today the chances are that your High Street looks very similar to one hundreds of miles away. Supermarkets are selling home décor and everything under the sun. It’s a crowded space with very little to differentiate one large retailer from another apart from price. We would say around 90% of what you see on the high street originates in China and most of it from producers who produce en-masse with a high degree of mechanisation. It is the inevitable result of such trade that the retail assortment will look generic across a cross-section of large retailers. Little stands out that is special and has that unique hand-made feel.

MO-HOme® is all about that unique hand made feeling. Every piece is special and stands out from the crowd.  We work with artisans and not with factories. We don’t follow fashion or try and emulate others - we have our own style that’s always in style. We don’t buy in China. We always try and work with natural materials with care for the environment. We remain loyal to our artisans, designers & producers who have grown with us to enjoy sustainable and regular trade. Quality and design alongside commercial viability are they key determinants of what we include in our collection. That’s what makes us different and makes you different.
